Designing a Community Orchard, Glasgow

Join us for this free day of training and learn all about designing an urban community orchard.
The day will focus on planning a new community orchard in Glasgow Green that will be planted this winter within the Freewheel North site.

Topics covered in the training day will include:

  • Cultural history of orchards
  • Orchard ecosystem health
  • Choosing your fruit trees, planting and aftercare
  • Getting people involved through the seasons

We are particularly looking for people who would like to volunteer long term to develop and support this new orchard project in Glasgow Green, but the training is free and open to all.
